Oswald L. Mikell, M.D.
Dr. Mikell is double board certified by the American Board of Dermatology and the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery. He has been practicing dermatology in Beaufort, Jasper and Colleton counties since 1982, and is a leader in the field of Mohs Micrographic Surgery. Dr. Mikell is a graduate of the Medical College of Georgia, serving his internship and residency in dermatology at Naval Regional Medical Center, San Diego, CA. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, American Society for Mohs Surgery and the American College of Phlebology. He is past president of the South Carolina Dermatology Association and has been a trustee, secretary and treasurer of the South Carolina Medical Association. Dr. Rabb is a seasoned dermatologist with many years of dermatology experience. He earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia in 1966, serving his internship at Tallmadge Memorial Hospital in Georgia and his residency at the University of Tennessee. His military service was that of Flight Surgeon in the United States Air Force. He practiced dermatology in private practice in Georgia from 1972 until 2006. In 2006 he moved to Hilton Head, SC & joined Dermatology Associates of the Low Country on an as-needed basis. We are proud to now have him as an associate member of our staff. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery.We also have an RN on staff
Carrie A. H.Hall, M.D.
Dr. Hall is a board certified Dermatologist, currently still serving in the United States Navy as the Department Head for Internal Medicine and Dermatology at the Naval Hospital Camp Lejeune, Jacksonville, NC. She currently spends 2-3 days a month with the practice while on leave from the military, and will be joining the practice full-time in August of 2012 after completion of her active duty commitment. Dr. Hall completed her Dermatology residency with the Navy at National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland after having served as an Undersea Medical Officer in Guam and the D.C. area, and completing an internship at Portsmouth Naval Hospital in Portsmouth, VA. Shel is also a graduate of the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland for medical school and of The University of Arizona as an undergraduate with a B.S and a B.A. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, The Women’s Dermatologic Society, and the Military Dermatology Society. Her practice encompasses many aspects of both medical and cosmetic dermatology
Paula Bermann
Paula Bermann is a Board Certified Nurse Practitioner in Dermatology who has been with the practice since 2005. She currently serves on the board of directors for the Dermatology Nurses Certification Board and is a past president of the Nurse Practitioner Council of Coastal Georgia. She has published numerous articles in nursing journals and has attended and publicly presented at national conferences.She began treating dermatology patients in 1986 at the Hines VA Dermatology Clinic affiliated with the University of Illinois. After receiving her Master’s Degree in Nursing from Georgia Southern University, she earned a Post-Master’s Certificate as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Graceland University in Iowa. She completed the Enterostomal Therapy program at Emory University where she was certified as a wound care nurse. She diagnoses and treats most common dermatologic diseases; and performs biopsies and excisions of skin lesions.
